A park is important to a resident for many residents. For example, the park might hold memorable and cheerful memories for some residents and the residents might reminisce in the old days whenever they visit. Those memories are sentimental for them and are of significant value so we should respect them and their privacy. The park might also be a place for some residents to practice and engage in physical activities, ranging from normal exercise practices to energy-draining sports such as rugby. They would prefer a conducive environment so they can carry out their activities with joy. They would appreciate the peacefulness and the serenity of the park so that they would not be disturbed. The park could also be for nature-lovers so that they could enjoy the freshness of the air, the tranquility of the park, the soft, comfortable and cushioned grass patches while they are basked in the warm sun as breezes gently caress on their cheeks. That would certainly be heaven for them and all those unsightly litters and rubbish will instead fill them with disgust and ruin their experience.Overall, there are other several possible reasons but these are the main
examples. The consequences for not appreciating or protecting our natural environment are disastrous. If we forsake our own natural environment and litter everywhere, then Earth is certainly doomed.Huge amounts of litter being burned or buried will worsen global warming and further deforestation for materials will contribute to it as well.Animal species will be wiped out due to the lack of habitats and soon, we will have to depend on plants for food which is very scarce as by the time we reach that stage, we are already living in a wasteland.Countries would be flooded by the melting of ice-bergs and UV rays will penetrate the atmosphere, killing people. No doubt, the world will undergo a global catastrophe and humans will ultimately die of hunger. The park visitors could help protect the natural environment and make their visit more meaningful by reporting people who litter to the authorities so that they will receive disciplinary action and learn from their mistakes. They could pick up litter they encounter on the way and discard it properly.Of course, they themselves have to be a role model and discard it properly as well. The park visitors could put up posters to raise awareness of the environmental crisis we face today. We need to appreciate biodiversity as tropical forests contribute to large portions of nature’s rich diversity, just as coral reefs are a major component of marine biodiversity. The massive destruction of these species’ rich ecosystems will lead to a global species extinction crisis.
